Matchpoints, and not a strong field.  West leads the 4, 2, J, Q

How do you plan to win 9 tricks?  We did not find the right play(s), and are interested in understanding if the correct sequence of plays can be based on correct analysis - or is it simply a guess?  I inserted two answer choices because I must, but am most interested in your analysis & decision for the play at trick 2 and beyond.

On Sunday evening (EST) I will re-post with all 4 hands, under the title: "Winning 9 Tricks".  Before then you might want to consider what your play would be if West were to lead a Club or a Heart?

The bidding is not the point of this article, but if you cannot resist commenting on it, no worries!.  Laughing

I agree with winning the Q at trick 1. Now I will .......
I would duck at trick 1 and play the Q at trick 2 unless East switches suits ( or ), in which case I will .....
