Agree.

Amusingly, if you pass, your coy lho now stepping stones your auction with a belated 2 call.
Partner bids 2 and you can bid 3.

Partner's double should be for the minors at the 2 level.
Rho has about 2 minor suit cards.
If I'm crashing a party at the 4 level, I'll try 4.

And I thought you had a different mysterious agenda.

Not that this isn't fun.

I would try to clear up a different issue. Judgment.
Partner's comments seem to be his opinion about judgment not agreements. There may be give and take possible.

Evidence not proof.
The difference?
Make an accusation and find out at YOUR peril.

Maybe I don't know bidding basics.
I might bid 2 with a lesser hand.

And maybe partner will now bid 3 and you will bid 3.
I don't know.
That's why I'm posting.

Another poll coming.

Why even play mtchpts at all if you think passing even comes closer to what your hand is than bidding 3?
And somehow something saves you for passing.

If you bid 2, how are you going to get caught?

If you don't bid 2, how are you going to get away with it?

Somebody would not play bridge because multi is allowed?

Naw. But if anybody is so inflexible, I think it's better if they're not around even if we don't play multi.

Unfair.

I think I've seen many an inattentive misbid get treated as a mechanical error.

I've also been happy a few times when they don't get away with it.

I think sometimes the director got it wrong.

I'm hoping to get heart tricks.
So I lead the 3 not the 6.
I only lead the 6 if it's important for partner to look elsewhere for tricks.
I think immediately or early it will be evident.

Sometimes I do things that are not underwritten in gold.
My calculation is that each one has extra values.
Each one might think I have the others extra values.
I can't sit around and not try.

Everybody knows how artificial 3 clubs can be.
It seems so wasteful not to use something that is screaming at me.
To me the functionality is incredible.
Especially when I don't really have a bid that describes my hand to partner.
It seems exciting thinking how partner is going to describe their hand to me and what I'm going to do about it.

It is a problem sequence.
Check out Wolff signoff.
But I like transfers over 2N rebids.
When partner has 6 hearts and 5 points, she can bid 3 and get to 3.

You can use it for constructive auctions. Partner doesn't pass 3, but bids 3N. There are other sequences too.

I think this sequence is more meaningful than bidding clubs then spades. Partner can get the picture that I'm more excited about the 5+ level than the 4 level.

My 3 gives partner a 3 bid that he/she didn't have.
And get the meaning. 3 will mean partner didn't bid 3. And 3 will mean partner didn't bid 3.

Definitely interesting.
Maybe ~25% is too much for me when partner doesn't know if I'm slamming or preempting, not to mention other things.

6 card suits are alarm clocks to me. I can't remember the last time 1 was right. Partner frequently has 1/2. You don't have communication. Partner gets squeezed etc.

At first I tried to justify not passing by my spade shortness.
Then this looks like a can of worms when my hand is primarily just clubs.
