When was it designed? It looks like a bbc code dot matrix style. Honestly costs so little to make something really great and modernised. Had a huge amount of work done already for cerebral gym.com (can just see landing page now but entitre website prototype is complete) and look at the difference in feel for less than 5k for what EBU would need.

Gordon, found the results on the website.
Wouldn’t use the word discraceful but I think the EBU site could do with an overhaul.
It is not exactly sexy or modern and often is difficult to navigate just to find clear simple info. Can get this done for around 5k and could recommend someone if you decide to.

Interesting Barry. Have heard before that Unger created a mathematical formula for gin rummy that made him the greatest ever but he took this to the grave.

Wouldn’t play in many poker games if didn’t sit down with murderers and cheats :)
Don’t cut off nose to spite face boycotting events if they are there.
Tell them face to face your feelings and get on with the game.
Everyone will know who they really are regardless and that is what matters as long as not cheating going forward which seems unlikely under spotlight.

The truth has not changed just the verdict.
This won’t change the opinion of the Bridge community.
So just no one play with them or shun them where can. They are unlikely to be cheating going forward.

Because all the owners of that business were the world’s top players.
And all the punters on their poker site were out of pocket to the tune of $150 million at one point.
Similar to if Gitelman Weinstein Wolpert, all took membership money for bbo or bw then spent in and went on holiday and you had no content for your money that paid for already. Would you like to see them at the Bermuda Bowl the next year?

Yes Janes, a beautiful auto fill typo from my iPhone :) ponzu too sweet for me.

Replace all categories with “too much”, what a waste of life but more addictive than crack :)

Doesn’t look like a GOLD winning team to me regardless of who gets picked.

Jesus returned and became 2017 player of the World Series after having run Full Tilt Poker into ground (incompetence or ponzu) after having left players hundreds of millions out of pocket. Guess life moves on, just never forget. https://www.pokertube.com/article/chris-jesus-ferguson-booed-and-confronted-at-final-table

Jeremy I rarely play duplicates but was amazed quite how many youngish people were playing the year end conference in London. You must be doing something right. Well done.

iPads with the hands all dealt the same for everyone would increase number boards played, make it easy for tourni directors, stop peeping toms, allow discussions in short breaks. What does one do with EBU masterpoints? Is it like the old green shield stamps where you could convert them into prizes no one else wants? Think am just going to go back to rubber Bridge until the last remaining players die and have no choice but to play duplicates.

Thanks Jeff. I think trick taking also the way to go. Just to be honest I wasn’t impressed with Kida at all. The search goes on.

I posted offering to finance anyone that would help create an app aimed at beginners and especially kids. This clearly must be the way to target the largest audience with the largest bang for your buck. Got next to no replies.

If had 4 board rounds rather than 2, reckon could play 32 rather than 28 in the same time. Does that work in your movements?

Wrote a longer piece which seems to have got lost in transit.

Thrust was, in a pairs duplicate large field one day event, why move every 2 boards?
I guess, most want to play the field (then why not move every board rather than every 2?), but don’t you lose out moving and waiting so often that if you want a fairer result wouldn’t better players want to play more boards which would be achieved by moving every 4 or 6? Additional benefits of getting to know opponents a bit better and having more time for the toilet or a fag if finish boards quickly. Only downside is East-West get a little less exercise. As a rubber Bridge regular this waiting around seemed sub-optimal, especially if following around two slow players that like to take as long as possible before moving on, all session. What am I missing?

Gus Hansen is one of the best all around games players in the world. Not sure Bridge is in his top 6 games though. Different to all the others. Don’t know why but it is.
