I really like a Roman 2 opening it can be a big winner. Leaves me without a strong opening bid but to counterbalance 1 is virtually never passed.
Assess the blame (15)
Not really a South problem--North can bid on with extras. South really must not bid beyond four hearts with this hand.
Long Hesitation
Richard partner can bid but i stand by bidding here.
Assess the blame (15)
The auction went wrong after 4. South only has three hearts and a bad shape. 4 was called for.
Long Hesitation
I would double not because of ten points but two aces.
Winston Chang's bidding problem: AQ3 AK92 JT843 8
What would double mean?
nothing in blacks for suitable action
Where did East-West go so far wrong on this hand?
I totally agree that passing is wrong initially. I like 31S but 2 is ok. West should as the auction went bid 51s.
What would double mean?
You cannot risk getting shafted here--if you have blacks bid one. If you have played with and against some the operators I have you need penalty double.
What would double mean?
I think penalties because I have been here before.
