To claim, or not To claim
I am on Randy's side here, if for no other reason than that vs. the inexperienced ones, if they question the claim, it takes longer than had I simply played it out.
What To Do When Someone Acts on UI?
Swing them from the gallows, watch them never come back to the club. No wonder the ACBL is in dire straits. If I thought I could keep a straight face, I might even offer a "well done opps".
To claim, or not To claim
In my view, I would have summoned the director as soon as N started yapping. Let the director tell me I am wrong for that, if I am indeed.
Meckwell leaving NICKELL
I hope they GET & USE better tax advice than Helgemo, should they end up on a European-based new team.
Phil Clayton's lead problem: --- AQ964 K9642 AT3
I would like to see the hand records before leading, please.
MI (?) Ruling
Good hand to be West on, then smile with amusement as the other 39 cards are butchered by the other 3 players. You all sure this is a bridge game?
The Evils of E-W and Sitouts
Even when the time comes where it becomes difficult to move, I vow that I will strive to make the director's job easier by either sitting E/W OR wherever the director's asks that I sit for seeding purposes. Signed, a former owner/director.
Should This NLM Stay in his Lane?
Maybe the OP and the lady who declared are in the event for different reasons. He for self-improvement, she for social reasons, just passing some time. OP should not have spoken up.
Should This NLM Stay in his Lane?
FWIW, I think responding by saying "Director, please" is just fine, too.
The Evils of E-W and Sitouts
I enjoyed reading Hawthorne's "The Scarlet Letter" too, Steve.
